Boss Brunch: Female Entrepreneurship

On Sunday, April 8th, 2018, Redstone’s CEO was part of a panel at Boss Brunch, a George Brown, Special Event Management student-run event. This event served as an educational, motivational and inspirational platform for young women in the city to be excited and empowered about their futures.

Boss Brunch was designed to allow attendees to be interactive with one another by partaking in networking activities, enjoying a three-course plated brunch and by hearing the experiences of successful, Toronto-based, female entrepreneurs.

Carly Silberstein, Redstone’s CEO, was one of four panelists speaking at Boss Brunch. Carly discussed the Redstone way, the #REDSQUAD and how the company got to where it is today! According to Hannah Duarte, one of the planners behind this event, “Carly was the perfect fit to speak at Boss Brunch as she is part of a female-owned company and knows what it takes to navigate the business world and what steps need to be taken to make a name for yourself“. In the above clip, Carly discusses what it takes to start a business (hint: a plan and a support network).

Proceeds from ticket sales from Boss Brunch were donated to the George Brown College Foundation which supports scholarships for students in need, along with Times Change Women’s Employment Service – a charity that creates a safe and supportive environment for women to access employment services. Redstone is proud to have supported this event as a speaker, attendee and donor.
