Redstone Agency is dedicated to consistent professional development and life-long learning. In the ever-changing events industry, it is important to remain up to date with new trends, platforms, and engagement tools. We are always looking to build upon our skill set to be ready for whatever may come our way! Let’s look at our team’s most recent accomplishments…
Adapting to the Virtual Event Space
Adapting to virtual and hybrid events has been a major theme over this past year, and predictions indicate these formats are here to stay, even in a post-pandemic environment. In April 2021, Redstone became one of the first agencies in the world to be a Certified Hopin Agency Partner. With this partnership, more than half of our events team members have earned their Hopin Certifications by demonstrating their advanced knowledge of the event platform and proficiency using it. More information on this partnership, and why our events team loves Hopin, can be found this blog post.
Redstone’s CEO Carly Silberstein has led the way when it comes to the virtual and hybrid event space. Carly holds several digital event professional designations including PCMA’s DES (Digital Event Strategist), VEMM (Virtual Event and Meeting Management), and most recently, the Hybrid & Virtual Event Director Certificate from the Event Leadership Institute (ELI) in partnership with MPI.

Preparing for In-Person Gatherings
As the world begins to open again (at least for the time-being) Redstone is excited for the re-introduction of in-person and hybrid event formats, while still being cautious of the risks involved. Our events team is taking steps to further educate themselves on how to minimize the risks of in-person gatherings, while still executing quality meetings and events for our clients.
Event Manager Shayna Asgill, has completed the Pandemic Meeting & Event Design Certificate from ELI. This certification prepares event professionals for the restrictions that come into play when planning and executing in-person events in a pandemic landscape. Read more about Shayna’s experience earning this certificate, and her breakdown of everything she learned here.
With COVID-19 remaining a concern for the foreseeable future, many team members have also received the WHO Mass Gatherings Risk Assessment Training certification. The health and safety of all those involved with our events is a top priority, and we at Redstone want to minimize the risks of in-person gatherings as much as possible. In addition, we have staff who have earned the Pandemic On-Site Protocol Training from ELI. Both certifications position our events team to properly assess and manage the risks of in-person gatherings while facing a pandemic.
Additional Professional Development
COVID-19 and pandemic aside, our team has always looked to find ways to better serve our clients. Account Manager, Ashley Smith, has earned the Project Management Professional designation from the Project Management Institute and a Social Media Marketing Certificate from George Brown College. Read more about Ashley’s professional development here.
A number of our team members in addition to Carly have earned their VEMM designation (Christy Floyd, Dalia Kay, Maria Soultanoglou) and Khadijah White obtained her DES designation. Dalia Kay also holds the Technical Event and Meeting Production Certificate (TEMP) from ELI. Maria Soultanoglou is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), and Seamus Gearin is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
Redstone is proud to be a leader in the Event and Association Management Industry and to have a team so dedicated to advancing their professional skills and development. Being so well-rounded prepares our team for any and all client needs. We congratulate the entire #REDSQUAD for all their hard work thus far and in the future!
